On The Move

Sawyer is 9 months old now and I can't believe I haven't posted an update on him yet.  Just like his brothers, Sawyer started crawling right before he turned 9 months.  He has been trying to crawl for a couple of months now, and has been able to move forward towards objects for several weeks.  At this point, Sawyer is going full steam ahead.  I am very proud of my little guy!  He is just months away from running around with his big brothers, and then it will be a TRIPLE THREAT!!  Dear Lord please have mercy on this mother of 3!

Sawyer really got going yesterday.  I put him down in the bedroom and ran into the kitchen to get something.  The next thing I knew he was trying to climb up the stairs to follow Benjamin.  Since he figured that he can pull up on things, he has already done so multiple times.  The world is now open to this little guy and we need to get out the baby gates and cover the rest of those outlet plugs!

Sawyer is still not a big fan of puffs.  Its funny because most of them end up in his high chair.  When I pick him up they are often stuck to his butt.  This phenomenon, coupled with his previous tendency to scoot along the floor, led to a recent nickname of "Scooter Puffbutt".  Although a great nickname, I guess he has already grown out of the first part of it.  

Of course, everyone likes to comment on his hair.  It never really seemed that big of a deal to me, but he has gotten so many compliments on his flyaway do.  I've tried to comb it down with gel, but that never really seems to work.  Besides, it is getting much more difficult now that his hair is longer.  Its not really a problem though.  After all, it makes him unique!
