Easter 2012

This was another great Easter with the kids.  Benjamin had really been looking forward to it, and was counting down the days.  I know he loves the candy, but he also has been hooked on the element of hiding and finding.  He has always loved hide-and-seek, and after the last two Easters, he engaged us all in daily games of hiding and finding the plastic eggs.  This year we have really been trying to talk to Benjamin about the meaning of Easter beyond the fun and sweets.   Although he likely does not grasp the concepts (and many of us adults have difficulty with it), he can talk about Jesus dying on the cross for us.  I pray that he will learn to love and follow the Lord!

Another enjoyable aspect of this holiday was spending time with both sides of the family.  It used to be so stressful to split up the time and coordinate when we will do what.  This time it was not bad at all, especially since we just did exactly what we did last year.  The grandparents gave the boys some great gifts and gorgeous new clothes, but the best part was seeing how much they enjoyed watching the boys have fun.  We kept thinking how much more fun, and more entertaining it will be when there are three.
